4 weeks have passed since the awful stroke and Linda has made great progress, however she is still in the hospital and will be for some time. Her cognitive skills and memory don't seem to be affected at all which is such a relief. She's talking great and remembers exactly what happened that dreadful morning. She doesn't appear to have any paralysis either. She is in physical therapy learning to walk and balance on her own now and she also suffers from double vision and constant dizziness. The doctors think that will pass but it will be a long, slow recovery.
The poor thing, stuck in a hospital all day feeling like a prisoner. She is trying to stay positive but I can only imagine how difficult that would be. Her head feels so heavy and every movement exhausts her.
We had Father's Day dinner at the hospital, nothing like cafeteria food. Okay, not so great, but it was nice to all be together as a family and have Linda be able to eat with us. Plus the crushed ice and bending straws are pretty sweet. We love you Linda! Keep up the great work. You are amazing and so strong!

Brecklyn,
Thanks for posting an update!! No one has filled me in on anything and I have been constantly thinking about Linda, wondering how she is doing.
I am so glad to hear that her skills and memory weren't effected.
It is good to see a picture!
I am glad to hear that she is slowly getting better!
