Disneyland??

Okay, it was only Disney on Ice but when I asked Christian where we were, he shouted with joy: "DISNEYLAND!!" Easily entertained. We took cousins Kiley and Ireland out for a date. The kids were mesmerized by skating, singing characters while mom tried to distract them from the $20 snow cones in the "souvenir cup" - now that's more like Disneyland, right?
Peter Pan and the Princesses

Christian's fave Lightning McQueen or "Speed" as says.

Look What Patrick Brought

After a knock, knock, knock on the door...a very special visitor "Patrick the Leprechaun" as Christian says, left some green surprises.

Day of Green

Seeing it's still Christian's FAVE color and all, he really got into a day all about GREEN. Grandma & Grandpa Morgan had their annual Green Dinner - green chicken, green pasta, green rolls, green jello - the works. All of which Christian would not eat - a little unappealing. Mason had no objections, but he never does when it comes to food! However Christian loved his St. Patty's party at preschool, running around with his shamrock mask (anything resembling a superhero scores points at our house). And we can't forget the green shoes...

S is for Superheroes!

We hit the Safe Kids Fair (along with everyone else in SLC) because we heard some very special visitors would be there. To no disappointment, Christian got to see the Star Wars clan up close and personal (well, not too close) and meet Batman (with a handshake and all). He was in Superhero Heaven!
He wore his new Star Wars shirt and brought his light saver but when he saw the real Luke and clone troopers, it was a little "too real," so we just watched from afar and checked out their awesome weapons.
To top it off, our day for playgroup was on "S" so naturally...S is for SUPERHEROES!!

Day of Chaos

Just need to vent about this particular (yet typical) day in my wild child's life (more like the life of his mother who has lost all patience):
- He already has a huge shiner from an outdoor fall over the weekend (which also included cactus pricks in the bum).
- I hear him yelling and banging downstairs to find he has locked himself in his room (why do we have a lock on our kid's room?? Maybe we should reverse it so we can lock them in). Pick the lock to find him hiding in his closet squealing for joy ripping the clothes off the hangers.
Side note: 5 neighbor boys chasing through the house in super hero costumes at the same time. Yep, my turn for playgroup.
- Few minutes later find him dumping out my purse and opening every piece of gum in the pack, biting off pieces and spitting them out.
- After several attempts at a nap with no success, we take to driving around...no luck. Bottle is propelled across the car at my head (nothing new here). Attempt to take him in a store where he rips all the jewelry off the shelf. We leave.

- Head to my parent's house (in hope of a break), where he slams his fingers in the piano lid and climbs out of the portable crib (a first)...insane as I am, attempt another errand (when will I learn??). He's happily eating Tic Tacs when I turn away for a few minutes and he's swapped them out for a bottle of Advil (which he somehow opened and is munching away on). Call Poison Control...didn't eat enough to worry them. Phew.
- After yelling "MINE MINE MINE" at everyone around him (all day long) and hitting us all (love hits of course)...I finally got my break. Escaped to a great, "feel-good" movie. The Blind Side. Loved it. The flick and much-needed ESCAPE. Then sweet dreams for crazy man so he can regain energy for round 2 tomorrow.

Now you see the big, black eye is very fitting for him. This boy needs a permanent football helmet, mouth guard and leash. And I need a nanny, make that 3!

First Talk in Church

Our Christian is so grown up! He recently became a Sunbeam in Primary at church and just gave his first talk last Sunday. It was about Jesus. When I asked him what he was going to say about Jesus, he quickly replied: "Jesus is the greatest, greatest, greatest, greatest, best guy in the whole universe." Good answer! And he said exactly that during his talk...adding in a few "awesomes" and "specials" in place of "greatest." He was so excited to talk in the microphone (more like eat the microphone). It was so cute hearing his sweet, high-pitched voice talk (or repeat what I say) and he just LOVED all the attention from the other kids. Not shy one bit. I really wish I could have recorded it. Our big boy really is SO BIG!

I'm so grateful for my 2 healthy, beautiful, smart boys who constantly make me laugh and keep me on my toes. They give me such purpose in life. For all the sleepless nights, moments of insanity and losing all patience ~ I truly love and adore them!
