The Winter that Just Won't Die...
Waking up to a foot of snow on my car this morning really makes me question why I live in Utah?! What happened to the first day of spring and where is that spring weather hiding?? Take me back to the beach!!

Happy Easter
All Dressed Up in Our Easter Best

Grandma Jody's egg hunt never fails to impress - the kids (and adults) truly had to hunt for treasures and we all came home with big bucks! Good times...

Whatever happened to the days where kids actually had to "hunt" for the eggs?? The Easter Egg Hunts were more like busted pinatas of candy dumped on the grass while parents tackled each other for the candy until it was gone in 30 seconds! Very ENTERTAINING and great people watching!

Look what the Easter Bunny brought me! All he cared about was his new Thomas trains, he loves "choo choos!" We hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend!!

First Haircut and Battered Child!

Christian got his first haircut last weekend with cousins Kiley and Irelyn. It was finally time to lose the mullet (even though I hated to see all those ringlets go). I didn't let them go too short so he still has some curls. :) We went to Cookie Cutters where they can sit in cars, watch a movie, get a balloon and sucker - all while tricking them into a haircut...such a great idea!

This is what happens when you run away from mom (or Aunt Alli) and trip and fall on pavement - OUCH!!Saturday, March 8, 2008
Beautiful Maui
My belly doubled in size during our trip-Hawaiian air makes for good "baby growing!"

Another year in beautiful Maui, we are so spoiled! It was perfect weather for bumming on the beach every day. Christian had a blast swimming in the pirate ship kiddie pool, playing in the sand (throwing it and wrestling with Jace) and chasing the waves - he'd yell "here comes one" then squeal and splash in it. He thought he was so big that he didn't want to wear his floaties after day 2. We took a ride on the Sugar Cane Train (twice), something we used to do each year when I was a kid. Christian has a new obsession with Thomas the Train so he loved the "choo choo."

In all my years going to Hawaii, I've never seen so many whales - at least 5 a day right in front of our hotel - mommies with babies jumping out of the water together, it was so amazing! We took a fun boat trip and ate lots of yummy, fresh seafood. We ventured the long, windy drive to Hana, which was beautiful but we later dubbed it the road to hell - the 50 mile single lane, cliffside stretch took about 4 hours to get there! Christian swam in the 7 sacred pools at the top with Nana and Jace. It was really pretty but we definitely don't need to go back for another 20 years! It was so hard leaving Paradise and coming back to reality and cold weather...I'm already planning my next trip, hopefully next year?

Scoping out chicks at the kiddie pool!
