Christmas Eve & Morning

It's hard to believe another Christmas has come and gone...it's always never-ending fun with our Four Families. Christian loved all the presents and parties and Mason loved eating all his presents!

Twas the Night before Christmas and Daddy & Mason were fast asleep.

More Christmas Fun

I talked my hubby into continuing our tradition of sleeping over at my mom's on Christmas Eve (her birthday) in Park City. Don't you just love our matching green (Christian's fave color) jammies?? So stylish!
Santa brought Christian "bad guys and robots" - exactly what he asked for!
"Peek-a-boo, I see you Mom!"
More Tasty Presents!

'Tis the Season!

It's been a crazy couple of weeks with work (finally finished my huge project-yay!), sick kidos (so exhuasting) and juggling Christmas parties. Call me Scrooge but I hadn't even thought about Christmas until just this week. I really do love the holidays but it's such a busy time of year that it's hard to find time to enjoy the season and just soak it all in.

Note to Self: next year when Christmas music is playing and store decorations are out the day after Halloween - Don't be bugged - instead EMBRACE it as December flies by much too fast!
Now that we've finally Trimmed the Tree (and the whole house), the goal is to slow down and embrace it! Hope you can all find time to do the same! Here are some festive pics of late.
We hit the Festival of Trees with my sister Paige, which always gets me in the Christmas spirit -such beautiful trees and amazing stories. I especially loved checking out a few of my friend's trees. Fabulous work - recognize these trees (Christa, Sarah)??
Who is this weird guy holding me?? Save me mom!
Just wait until next year when you'll be screaming!
Santa: What do you want for Christmas? Christian: "Umm...(looks down at present)...THAT!" (as he flies off his lap). He knows the drill, cooperate for the picture and Santa gives you presents. Smart boy!
Storytime with Mrs. Clause at our church Christmas Brunch. Christian was looking a little hammered with candycane all over his face (yes, that was his breakfast). Love the matching PJs! Happy Baby!

St. George Trip

Christian loved his trip so much - everywhere we went he'd say, "Is this my trip? I like my trip!" He sobbed when it was time to leave HIS St. George house. The boys were such troopers as we dragged them to Vegas for one night. We got a steal on a room and couldn't resist the urge to visit our old stomping grounds, although the activities are much different with kidos. We bowled, swam, ate a lot and shopped. We found an awesome outdoor store that was more like a theme park with massive fish tanks, play shooting ranges and a Harley Santa.
Christian didn't want to get too close to Harley Santa. "How 'bout you come with me mom?"

Who needs turkey when you can have crab legs for Thanksgiving dinner? So yummy!! We even got Christian to try some, although he thought the lemon wedge was much tastier.

So Stinkin' Cute!

I just want to SQUEEZE HIM and EAT HIM UP and I really do! Mason is getting SO BIG and more fun each day. He's rolling over and holding his toys and he's SO VOCAL. He's always shouting and talking and he's SUPER TICKLISH - he giggles uncontrollably when I'm getting him dressed! His big blue eyes twinkle when he smiles. Can you tell how much this boy is adored by his mommy? I JUST WANT TO EAT HIM UP (I know, I already emphasized that). Check out little Aunt Jemima wearing his girlfriend's hat, I couldn't resist...

Such the Imagination...

Who knew the geeky swim goggles would make a great mask? As I walked downstairs, all couch cushions were on the floor and Christian was flying around with his makeshift swords in action.
"I'm an 'ENGINE' TURTLE Rafael and you be Michael Angelo. Hi-ya, KA-POW! I gotchu with my turtle swords!" Thanks to Jace & John for teaching him all the proper names and moves. "DISEMBOWEL YOU!" - another lovely term he shouts as he stabs his sword, like he has a clue what he's saying. I guess there are worse alternatives.

See the resemblance? He watched part of the movie a few months back (which was quite violent for a 2-year old) and now he's truly OBSESSED! We get the pleasure of having turtle fights daily with anything that remotely resembles a sword - string cheese, baseball bats, remotes, you name it.

Farewell Fall

Glancing out at the white blanket covering my yard, I'm missing the beautiful 70 degree weather of last week. I'm not ready to don coats and boots and say farewell to my flip-flops! We were spoiled with the warm fall weather! My poor kido desparately wants to make a "really big snowball" but I'm just not excited to join in the snow fight yet. What a mean mom! It really is pretty but the cold, dreary winter lasts much too long!
Apparently pliers are for leaf collecting.

Trick or Treat...

give me something good to eat! Christian loved loved loved Trick or Treating, especially having sword fights with all who passed and seeing his neighbor friends in costume. Fun with Pirate Nana & Indian Aunt Paige
Busted! Who needs dinner on Halloween with so many good treats?
"Ya, I gotcha mom!" Watch where you aim that sword!

This one's for Julie...
