Easter Egg-ing

What's not to love about Easter??
Matching pastels
Tulips and daffodils in bloom
Peeps and and treats gallore
Hunting for eggs and tackling siblings to grab cash
(I'm talking about the grown ups here)
Posing the cute babe
(I promise I don't have a favorite child)
and most importantly,
Being with family
and
Remembering Christ.

If you haven't noticed already I'm one of those moms that can't help but use my baby as a prop, especially when it comes to holidays...(remember the scared naked babe in cold, slimey pumpkin). There's only a small window before they can object.
I had intentions of taking a cute family picture dressed in our Easter best but with 9 am church, napping baby, too much to juggle, etc, it just didn't happen this year. But we did look cute in our spring pastels, take my word for it. :)
Cousins!

More Fun Down South

We headed to our popular vacation spot, good ole' St. George, for President's weekend and again for Spring Break. The sunshine and red rock views never disappoint! And the kiddos are great lil travelers...maybe because we are ALWAYS on the go.

Some of our favorite activities at Nana's St. George house: hikes in the desert (this time with an Easter treasure hunt), bubble parties in the big tub, hitting the splash pads, cruising in the jeep (who needs a helmet when you have a BUCKET on your head??), rolling in Snow Canyon sand dunes, making backyard smores, "swimming" in the hot tub, dressing as ninja turtles and watching movies in Nana's big bed. So easily entertained, that is the greatest part.

BUCKET HELMET
The boys taught cousin Kambri about Ninja Turtles
Wild Bouncey House Slides - anything to wear 'em out!
Happy Girlie - check out those YUMMY thighs!
Yes, he IS doing what it looks like. Boys will be BOYS!

Daddy's Special Day

My boys always look forward to "Daddy's Special Day" which occurs twice a week at our house when mom goes to work. It's a great bonding time for daddy and the kiddos.

They typically do a lot of lego building, Star Wars watching, sword fighting, secret hideout making, trips to Maverick for treats (aka candy and donuts for lunch) and in the warmer weather - yard work and playing sports.

Monday I came home to find them all playing a little baseball in the backyard with Mia helping daddy pitch. Too cute. And while I was making dinner (a rare occurance these days), I looked out the window to see the boys getting their first lesson in mowing the lawn with the REAL mower (not following dad with their play mowers like usual). It totally made me smile.

No wonder they always request daddy to tuck them in and lay with them at night (and he's a total pushover at bedtime). I love how much they look up to their dad, and what a great dad he is! I love the special bond my boys have with their daddy.

Hoppy Easter Bunnies

My cute lil bunnies posed with a real bunny in their Easter brights. Don't you just love little matching Easter outfits on kids?? My favorite.

Mia is a half a year old now - Big 6 month old and all smiles. I just love those lil piggies hanging out.

And these handsome brothers are looking so grown up.

Can't they just stay little forever??
