Swim School

Skinny Boy on the Right
For the past month Christian has been taking swimming lessons at Fairmont Rec Center 3 times a week. He loves it and I've been really impressed with his teacher and the small class size of 4. I'm just thrilled he gets to swim without me having to get in!
He goes all the way under and "shoots like a rocket."
Now it's time for lots of practice this summer.

The Party's Never Over

Round 3 of Birthday Fun...Our Biggest Boy had 3 parties with all our families so it turned into a month long birthday celebration. Who could ask for more? Pizza, Bowling & "Bad Guy" Video Games at Fat Cats with Nana & Jace & fam, followed by yummy Nielsen's Frozen Custard.

Troy was more excited about winning tickets than Christian, he was running around to all the games checking for left tickets and tokens like a kid.
Hanging on my new cool new picnic table!

Thanks for all the cool presents Nana & Jace, Aunts & Uncles...we love you!!

Yesterday, Last Night & Tomorrow

Everything Christian talks about lately is in terms of "yesterday, last night or tomorrow" whether remembering a trip we took last year or something fun we did last month. "Last night when I was a baby I can wear that shirt" or "tomorrow when I grow big like dad, then I can do that."

I've learned that toddlers have little concept of time but try their best to copy us as we constantly talk about what we're doing tomorrow or what happened yesterday. Try explaining to a kiddo how long it will take for the vegetables to grow in our garden or when he will start preschool..."but I'm the biggest boy now mom." When do they really grasp the concept of time anyway? For now, we'll just laugh at his attempts to understand and we'll miss these times when he finally does figure it all out...

While riding in the car, Mason was making an "Eeeee" sound. Christian turns to him, "No Mason, we're not playing Eeee, I don't know how to play that game." I love how Christian really thinks Mason is telling him things, too cute.

Batman Turns 3!

Our Biggest Boy Christian requested a Batman party...he picked out the flying Batman and Batmobile for his cake (which he'd been talking about for weeks) and wanted everyone to play "Batman Batman you can't get us" - a game he invented. When asked how to play his game he replied, "you get all the bad guys!" He had it all figured out. Cousins had fun playing Pin the Cape on Batman, Superhero Toss and busting a pinata.

Trying to figure out 3 fingers - hanging in my new double-wagon with brother.

Everybody say "BATMAN!" Little Black Batman Christian incognito...

We sure love our Happy Boy Christian ~ sweet tenderheart, cutest dimples, sport-loving, Daddy's Boy, super hero crazed, Big Brother, green-obsessed,
ALL BOY!

My how you have grown...

3 years have passed so quickly. You have been our constant entertainment. We love you Big Boy!

Twin Boys

Since we left town for Easter, the boys wore their cute matching Easter outfits last Sunday to church. Here are our post-Easter pics...always easier to convince Christian to dress-up when it's in his favorite color palette. Note Christian couldn't lose his green Peter Pan sword, boys will be boys.

9 Months and Into Everything!

In the past month, Mason has managed to shatter a nice floor lamp (with expensive and hazardous energy lightbulbs), attempt to swim in the toilet, climb to the top of our very steep stairs, unroll and eat toilet paper, eat leaves and dirt from our indoor plant, knock down and break pictures frames, unplug cords, climb out of his highchair and all while being supervised by us. Apparently our house isn't so baby-proofed after all. He'll show us! We have our hands full with our busy busy boy. He continues to entertain us daily and demand our attention.

We sure love our lil' stink, lovey lou, chunky babycakes, little buddy Mr. Mason!

Easter Fun in St. George

Eating Rocks...Tasty Treat! Mason didn't like the turf on his knees so he did a standing crawl on his feet. Too funny!
Tiger Woods in Training

"The Easter Bunny brought us lots of prizes!"

Lizard Hunting - Mason will out grow his Big Brother soon...

Golfing and lounging poolside at Gram's new home away from home, sweet yard and view!

Eggs Galore

Easter Party at Nana & Jace's House

Our green-obsessed boy would only pick the green eggs, no surprise there. Notice in every recent picture he's wearing GREEN, he really does have clothes in other colors but it's a battle I'd rather not fight.

Happy Anniversary 4.8.05

Then: Strolling hand in hand on that perfect day.
Now: 4 years and 2 kids later...WOW...and we wouldn't change any of it (well maybe the wrinkles, sleep deprivation and weight gain).

Happy Anniversary to us! We survived another year together and hoping for many more good ones to come. Looking forward to our much-needed date tonight without kidos - couples massage and dinner - woo hoo! Always fun reminiscing the big wedding day in paradise, oh how I wish we were there now. At home with the boys is our own little paradise these days, a much different version but still great.

4.7.07 Another special anniversary for our family when we were sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple.

Calling All Cowboys

Since Troy finds surprise parties dumb and pointless and doesn't think birthdays are anything special, I decided he deserved this. I threw him a surprise Hoe-Down Birthday Bash at Cowboy Grub with 30 of his friends and family to celebrate turning the big 3-5. The surprise was pulled off without a hitch - Troy was totally clueless, even when he saw a couple of his friends at the door - duh. Everyone had fun catching up and the kidos loved riding the horse merry-go-round. Other than the VERY SLOW service - it was a great night. Thanks to all who came!

Giddy-up lil' Cowboys!

Part of the crew strikes a pose.

Good Ole' Grey's Anatomy

Is it pathetic to love a show so much that you shed tears over the character's drama and feel like you truly know them? I love love love my dear friends on Grey's, a long-time fan I am. Such great drama, humor, acting and the perfect music to compliment it all. I'm sad that Izzy will be written off the show and will probably have to die in the process. I love that McDreamy and Meredith always get back together - happy endings can exist on TV! It's just a nice little escape from reality for an hour (even if I was still juggling 2 kids that refused to sleep while attempting to watch). We really need to figure out this early bedtime thing so many of you swear by, could really use some downtime earlier than my own bedtime! Until next Thursday...
