Halloween and the Babe

Been feeling like a crazy person most days. The hubs has had pneumonia for over a month now and has been on oxygen for the past 3 weeks. Just lovely. Add that to a very demanding toddler and new baby and zero sleep and there you go, CRAZY TOWN at our house. It looks like a bomb went off all the time. There is no time for cleaning up and no place to put anything. Total chaos I tell ya. The darling babycakes is totally worth it of course. She is so sweet and yummy. I just kiss on her all day long. She has been a really good baby too, not much screaming and sleeping pretty long stretches for her age. Can't complain.

Halloween was a blur, it happened and the kids enjoyed it but I wish I could have been more present to say the least. Mason did his usual daily costume all week - Darth Vader, Ninja Turtle and Peter Pan (anyone with a weapon). Christian made an awesome Luigi and Mia was a cuddly leopard and even made a Minnie Mouse attempt (in a very large costume).

It seemed like a good idea at the time but poor Mia did not agree. She looks TERRIFIED.

Someone else wanted a turn of course. Pumpkin potty??

Cousin time at Gardner's Village. Love me some witches and shopping.

3 cute little girlie cousins all within 3 months. So fun!

Luigi & Peter Pan ready to trick or treat. After 10 or so houses, Mason came back to "scare all the kids" while Christian continued with friends til he could barely carry his bag. Such a fun, fun holiday with kiddos! We LOVE it!

Happiest Place on Earth

Last getaway before baby and first time at Disneyland for the boys! They were in Star Wars heaven. Who cares about Mickey and Minnie when you can meet Captain Rex the Clone Trooper (Mason's idol) and fight the real Darth Vader. All their dreams really did come true at the happiest place on Earth. And I survived walking around the theme parks for 2 days in the heat while 8 months preggers. I was determined to go before I had 3 kids in tow.

Daddy, Christian and Grandpa Jace caught a game ball at the Angels game and then went back for game 2 the next day and caught ANOTHER! Christian was so stoked he slept in his new Angels shirt with his game ball on his pillow.

Christian kept telling everyone that he took a wrong turn on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...didn't we all?

And the purpose of the trip...drumroll.
Jedi Training Academy!

Christian froze when it was his turn to fight Darth. A little too real.

Mason on the other hand wouldn't stop swinging the light saber. Darth said, "this one has a lot of anger" as the tiniest Jedi Mason came at him. He sure had that right!

Look at how TINY Mason in the middle of all the big kids. We may or may not have pretended he was 4 so he could live out his Jedi fantasy.

Someone REALLY enjoyed the giant turkey leg. Mmmm

So glad Nana joined us for the madness

Jedi training, so serious learning the moves.

Don't know who enjoyed the Buzz Lightyear ride more??
Star struck boys as Captain Rex gave them "five."

Large belly at the beach and still just a family of four. Wow how life has changed since this picture only 2 short months ago. And how I wish I could be sunbathing at the beach right now, just me and my precious little babycakes. Sounds amazing!

Baby Girl is here!

Introducing our lil Sweet Pea, Mia Adele.
Born September 30th at 7:58 pm (after 11 hour induction)
6 lbs. 14 oz - 20 inches long - my tiniest so far

We are SO in love with our sweet baby girl! I'm already having fun "accessorizing" her with bows, jewels and everything pink.

She looks so much like Mason as a newborn but with Christian's eyes. And Daddy did his job, she got his dimples, woo hoo! Definitely got those strong Morgan genes and not much of mom's.

Meeting some of her grandmas. So loved by so many.

Meeting the big brothers. Mason is OBSESSED. He's constantly asking to hold her and sleep with her and he dives in for kisses all day long (even on the lips sometimes). He just can't help himself. Then he told me to put her back in my belly. Ummm definitely struggling for attention...just a bit. He's also very protective, getting mad when I take pictures saying the flash will hurt her eyes and telling us how to burp her and to be quiet when she's asleep (which doesn't apply to him of course).

Baby girl's first lil dress, oh I'm gonna have fun!

Happy Homecoming ~ the fam had fun decorating the house (inside and out) and even the car. Loving all the PINK for a change!!

T-Ball Brothers

Cutest lil T-Ball brothers & buddies

The boys loved playing T-ball this summer and were at the perfect ages to be on the same team this year. Mason needed a little coaxing. He showed up for his first game wearing his full Jedi Knight costume with robe and light saber. I tried to trade him the mitt for his light saber but he said, "Jedis don't use mitts Mom." So he played in his costume with the saber clipped to his shorts. Daddy was mortified that he was taking his favorite sport more seriously but hey, someone needed to to entertain the crowd.

The next week, he wore his man purse (aka "the murse") full of all his Star Wars guys and ran the bases with it strapped on. Now those were the games I needed to take pictures of. By the end of season, he was able to leave his gear on the sidelines and actually play ball. SUCCESS!!

Back to School

Big Kindy-gartner! And school bullies already??

Yep, our Christian is all grown up and headed off to the big elementary school. He was over us talking about it and walked right in like a cool kid. He loves school and making new friends so he was definitely ready.
However I'm not sure I was ready for his comment a few days later.
C: "Mom, a kid in the other class called me a jerk on the playground."
Me: "Oh really, what did you do?"
C: "Nothing, I just walked away."
Me: "That's good. Next time, tell him that's rude."
C: "Well at first I didn't know if he was talking to me, then he said 'Hey I'm talking to you jerk!'"
Me: (almost laughing) "That is not nice."

Oh the name calling and bullying is just beginning and "jerk" is pretty mild. It didn't seem to bother him much, he was just telling me how it went down, but still kind of sad that his sweet innocence will be gone too soon.

At the school carnival a week later, Christian pointed out the "rude kid" and let's just say I wasn't surprised. Fit the stereotype bully. We'll leave it at that for now. I will control the mama bear within and let him fend for himself for now but that lil playground bully better watch his back! :)

PRESCHOOL for Mr. Mason
Mason's 1st Day wasn't quite a breeze. He had been SO excited for preschool, asking about it for weeks and talking about being a big boy (seeing he just got potty trained 2 weeks ago - FINALLY). Orientation day with mom there was just dandy but when the first day came to go alone, he wouldn't let daddy leave him. He threw a fit and daddy, being the softie his is, ended up staying the whole 2 hours!

Check out my awesome Darth Vader bag!

Happy camper with his spider man in tow and mom by his side.
